This image, “TIDE LINES”, was photographed on the Cape Cod Bay in the afterglow of a low-tide sunset. The tidal flats of Cape Cod Bay are the widest expanse of tidal flats in North America. The tide retreats over a mile at it’s lowest point which is a sight to behold, especially at sunset!

Mohegan Sundown
Thank you for your interest in this image. Mohegan Sundown was photographed on Block Island below the Mohegan Bluffs area. I had actually been photographing another location when I noticed the sky developing into something interesting up that way so I changed course and made my way to the Bluffs and then down onto the beach and out into the water where I set my tripod in the sand and water about a foot deep. The light was changing quickly and I had about three minutes to review some tests on the back of the camera and get the shot that I was looking for.
